I haven't read this yet, but so excited to discover you are Substack, Jimmy! I've been listening to you and Todd on Wretched for years! I found your stack when I saw a tweet from Justin Peters about this very post of yours. Looking forward to reading it. God bless you and Happy Easter!
You hit the nail on the head. The best thing that happened here was they let Gabe bury himself by just talking. It exposed him. Very well written article sir.
This was an excellent and very well-written article. Thank you! I listened to the interview as well and found it very frustrating that he wouldn't just answer simple questions. I really appreciated your comment on how the issue is not really about cessationism versus continuationism, but about representing who Christ really is. In my opinion, that's the issue with much of the charismatic church. As a general rule they tend to focus so much on the issue of the gifts that it takes them away from who Christ really is and his work. Blessings to you. I have subscribed and look forward to reading more.
Yes, I agree with most of this article. But I still believe that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts are still active and used by God today.

That’s incredibly kind of you to say. Thank you for the encouragement Michelle.. and thank you for being one of the tens and tens..
I always laugh when I hear you or Todd refer to the tens of tens of listeners on the Wretched podcast. I’m sure there are a lot more than that!
